Is it normal to wonder about dogs on the titanic?

With the hundredth anniversary of the Titanic's sinking coming up, is it normal to wonder if there were any cats and dogs on the Titanic? If so, what happened to them? They don't get represented in any of the films. In fact, I've never heard them talked about at all. Why? There must have been some.

I just googled it and read that only about 3 or 4 dogs survived the Tiatanic. They probably wouldn't film it because it doesn't seem as "important" as all the human lives.

If they didn't die then, they're dead now :/.

There weren't any freaking dogs on the Titanic! Back then, people who had dogs (and very few did) left their fleabags at home where they belonged. The rabies vaccine did not become widely available until the 1950s and 60s. No ship would have allowed anyone to bring a potentially rabid dog on board. Use your head for something besides a place to put your backwards baseball cap!

I often sit for hours at a time and wonder the same thing.

This is a very important historical point of contention / I believe there was also a rhino that went down with the ship - and no one even gives a shit ! Can you believe this ?

I would personally recommend about 15 bongs and a bottle of vodka.

    Ps : I am a ninja.

Lol, them poor dogs. I dunno if it's normal to wonder about the dogs dude. Alot of people died there, who cares about a couple of mutts.
In any case I agree with you, because i generally care more about animal life than human life, however, I don't consider that normal at all ^^

To you and all others who care more about animal than human life: I hope one day you find yourself homeless -- and don't think it can't happen. I read the other day of people who had once owned a million-dollar home being out on the street because the parents lost their jobs and the bank took the house, etc. I hope you're hungry and your ass is freezing out on the street and the only shelters you can find are animal shelters because you're in a world full of people like YOU -- all of whom care more for animal than human life!

Additionally, you'd better damn well be a vegetarian who also feeds any pets you own a vegetarian diet and those vegetables had better not be fertilized with any animal byproducts. Otherwise, you're a fucking hypocrite!

Like I said. I don't consider it normal that I feel this way. And yes I am a vegetarian and eat mainly biologically produced foods, as long as I can spare the money, because it's expensive.

You use the old "you're a hypocrite" argument like so many others. But the things I would need to do to not be a hypocrite in you're eyes are impossible within the society we live in. In other words I have no choice in the matter (and no my cat aint a vegetarian).

Its like saying you try to be an environmentalist, but since its physically impossible to live a somewhat standard life without, say, using disposable plastics, it is impossible for me not to be a hypocrite. So you just carry on not giving a fuck and pollute extra. Because if you'd try and live by some kind of principle you'd become a hypocrite?

Also I work as a nurse, so I think its safe to say i've done alot more for my fellow man than you ever will.
