Is it normal to work a full time job and go to college full time

Specifically a job in engineering as a engineering student. I just got this job that pays really well but they're throwing a lot of responsibilities on my plate and investing a lot into me through a year long training program. They know I'm in school, and I'm willing to take on the stress and hard work but I have this fear that their motive is for me to drop out. What do you think? Is this normal in my industry?

Engineering is a very difficult major that only gets tougher as the semesters go on. Very high dropout rate. Best option here is to discuss your responsibilities with the company.

Any real engineering grad will understand and try to help.

If you can't figure this one out, you are going to be one lousy engineer. That is what engineers do. Solve complex problems using mathematical precise logic and scientific reasoning. If this simple issue has you befuddled, you are pretty lame. So you should drop out and let other people make your decisions for you. Better yet, can you say, "Do you want to super size those McFries mam?"

Heck if you can't. Just because you can't figure it out does not make it so. See you next Tuesday.
