Is it normal to work at two places at once?

I recently started working a second job. However, the place I'm working at is, like my first job, in food service. It just feels weird to me, so is this a common thing to do?

    In the US roughly 6 - 7 million people have more than one job. So it's normal.

    Totally normal.

    Most of the people I know have worked 2 jobs at some point.

    The food service industry is well known for that.
