  • I have Facebook account and I would like to delete it, but I'm afraid I will regret killing it, so I avoid using it now. Some of my friends don't have them -- not everyone does have a FB account, so I think you are normal.

99.9963 percent of what is on Facebook is absolutely useless.

  • Facebook? Just say NO!

If spotify ever try to force me to create a facebook account then i shall tell them where to stuff their premium subscription service.

If you delete it all you have to do is sign in and it'll be reactivated.

    • Ah, but then you have to go through re-friending everyone and explaining yourself. Bothering with that is why I hesitate.

I don't have a facebook either, nor have I ever wanted to make one. I've had several people ask why or even try to make me one for me, but I just don't really care for it.

Perhaps in the future I'll reconsider making a twitter account, still not sure what exactly it is, but that's a longshot as well.

It's totally normal not to have a FB, even if you're young.

Normal. I have a friend who simply refuses to have a facebook account (although she's pissing me off with all her "I'm so different because I don't have a facebook account").

I have an account, but I haven't gotten on it for months, maybe a whole year already. The only reason I have it is to find long lost friends.

within one generation of today, i predict something really bad is going to happen to someone who dumps their private personal life onto the internet without giving a moment's thought to where and who has access to that information. i've seen my employer use fb to decline employment applications. i've used fb to look at and jerk off to string bikini pictures of female coworkers. fb is dangerous because the privacy settings are difficult to configure and confusing. i can look at pictures of people that aren't my friend simply because they tag my friend in an album. people can tell when you're home alone, when you're away from home on vacation, when you get up (first dumb-ass tweet about your day) and when you go to bed. i think posting your life on the internet gives people the false sense that their life matters because someone "likes" it or "comments" on it. the fact is, if someone pulled the plug tomorrow on this whole internet thing we'd all be a lot better off.

I signed up for mine before anyone had really heard of it and didn't see the point in it. Then suddenly everyone was there and it was nice getting in touch with people I'd been to school with, etc. But a friend of mine refuses to sign up, saying that he's in touch with the people he wants to be in touch with and the people he's not in touch with, he's not in touch with for a reason. Why would he open himself up to be contacted by people he doesn't give a stuff about?

I can kind of see his point.

Most people use facebook as a communication tool

I have never signed up for stuff like that. My friends get mad because they want to share their pictures that way. No way am I putting stuff about me on the internet.

It gets boring after a while. Not worth it. Privacy isn't that great. Ehh..it's just ok.
