Is it normal when a police siren did this?

Is it normal when I am driving, a police siren that is on the opposite of the road starts and sounds very loud which reaches your ears that it makes your heart burn for a few seconds?

LOL police sirens are pretty scary to hear, especially for me. I have caught myself multiple times driving without my license on me or driving with an expired insurance card (while my valid one is sitting in a mail drawer at home) so whenever I hear or see police cars, I panic a little and run through my mind whether I have my license, registration and proof of insurance on me, whether I have any weed or alcohol on me or anything that could get me into trouble and then I have to calm myself down "you're not breaking the law, stupid, they're not coming after you- WAIT when was the last time you checked your tail lights!?".

It could be that you have a slight phobia of sirens. I have police phobia and whenever I hear the sirens blaring past my house or if I see them while I'm in a car, my heart starts to be heavily, my breathing becomes shallow and I panic on the inside.

I wonder what could be the matter when I see an ambulance or police car go by with it`s sirens going, I imagine all sorts of horrors.
