Is it normal when i have bronchitis to be fascinated by this?

Whenever I have bronchitis I am fascinated by all the thick and meaty mucus I cough up. I just collected some of the chunky phlegm and rolled it up like a regular booger. Sure it was gross and took a good while but I was still fascinated by it and how large the finished product ended up being. Sometimes I think of starting a collection. Is it normal?

Maybe it's just part of this fever I'm running?

    Our bodies do lots of cool stuff. I would count gunky mucus as cool stuff. And I don't see anything wrong with playing with it as long as you wash your hands after (to make it less likely you'll make someone else sick). I recommend against starting a collection, though, because it will start to rot and grow fungus after a while and that's not healthy to be in contact with.

      Thanks for your response. Yeah, I did finally throw that huge booger away a few days ago. I know it's gross but there's a part of me that's really proud of how big it was.

    I don't recall coughing up globs of music when I had bronchitis in the past. I was even diagnosed with chronic bronchitis at one point, and there were a few times where phlegm "escaped", like once during my piano lesson this yellow glob escaped and landed on the piano! It was so embarrassing.

          Sometimes when I'm coughing I get a metallic taste in my mouth but I haven't seen any actual blood my phlegm.

            Way back in the past, I could have sworn that there were imps where in which, I coughed up blood and many more times, especially recently, where I coughed so hard that I tasted a metallic substance.

      I've still got a low grade fever. Dubstep will give me pneumonia and kill me!

              Knife Party is a group. I don't live in New Jersey but I do appreciate the sentiment. I'm originally from Texas but I'm living in Las Vegas right now.

              I think the desert air is too dry for me. It seems like I get bronchitis and or sinus infections at least once a year or more. What is it like in New Jersey?
