Is it normal when someone sneezes you hold your breath?

I used to pinch me nose closed right before I sneezed. It flippin hurt.

I avoid any cloud of spray but that doesn't take 2 minutes and stop me from walking.

When I was younger and was walking passed a busy road, I used to try and time my breathing so it was between cars. I would breath in when alongside a car, and breath out when it's tail end was passing. I thought this would stop me from breathing in harmful fumes. Lol.

If someone sneezes or coughs around me I just won't inhale for a few seconds

Ha ha... I have done this : / I would if the person didn't cover their mouth (many people don't!) In a way it's just self preservation - you don't want to risk catching a cold or something. Just don't let these things get out of control - as in, don't start OVER worrying about it.
