Is it normall to not want to go to your 10 year h.s. reunion

I live in my home town now and I'm proud of my town. But not of my high school. Resently I was told that my HS reunion is coming up. I hated my pre 18 life. Why would I go to something that would make me relive it. I wasn't social or smart or anything.
I do like life now! As Soon as I took control, all was well. (Well enouh)
Is it normal to feel no remorse for wanting to skip my H.S. Reunion?

You shouldn't have to go to a place that you don't like and hated most of the people there if there's no fun in it for you then don't go unless you wanna show everyone how cool You are now :)

It's perfectly normal. If you wanted to keep in contact with any of them, you would of. Don't feel like you have to go if you don't wanna.

I think it would only be peculiar if you actually enjoyed HS.

I only just finished high-school, well I stayed on for another two years to do my A levels but that's finished now aswell. I can't wait for my 10 year reunion just to find out how people do in life, even those I hate but It's perfectly normal if you didn't enjoy highschool :)

My 10 year was 2 years ago. The thought of actually going never crossed my mind. I hated almost everyone in that school anyway

my school was a place that bred people to be high achievers, and as I didn't follow the prescribed path I had no reason to want to go and hear other people tell me about their successful careers...

Thanks guys. I'm glad to know I'm not odd for thinking it's pointless to drag up the past.

I didn't care to go to mine either. I hated all the fake drama back in high school. The only people I cared about didn't go either, so why even go? Besides it would've cost me about $100 just for me to go and another for my bf to join me. Blah!

Besides, you can pretty much find everyone on Facebook or Classmates.com and if you haven't kept in touch with anyone since then, who cares now?!

Yeah! I hated school and I wouldn't want to drag it all up again either so it's very normal!

It’s probably quite common to skip high school reunions and not feel any remorse. I skipped mine, and I’m 30 now. I know plenty of people who didn’t go to theirs either. I’m sure some people enjoyed high school, but for many people I think it’s kind of a weird and awkward time. I once heard a comedian say, "If high school is the best time of my life, then shoot me now. I'm broke, I live with my parents, I don't have a car, and I'm a virgin." :)
