    Good for her! The young lady is a stellar athlete, and I don't think there's anything to get over except perhaps being a chauvinist if a guy thinks it's any worse to get pinned by a girl than pinned by another guy. I don't see what the big deal is to be completely honest.

    Yes, a boy (or man) can recover - if they get proper emotional support and realize that 1) you cannot win them all, 2) that failure is the way you learn enough to succeed in the end.

    Life is not a singular event; and no singular event should affect anyone long term.
