She loves animals in general and i want to get her a small cat to play with but i heard that cats r Perfidious and it might hurt her or something and her mom dosen't like dogs
Older cats do need time to adjust to a new environment especially with a child.
I suggest if you decide to get a cat. I suggest you get a kitten.
Show your child how to interact with the cat by showing, for example patting the cat and even giving your child the responsibility to pour food into the cat bowl.

Anyway, cats are not perfidious... I think at age 1 the child is more likely to hurt the cat... I got my cat when I was about 3 and I feel terrible about all the crap I put him through because I basically just treated him like a doll... Always holding him, pulling his tail, etc...He was very patient though.
So anyway, I think it just depends on what personality of cat you get, and how well behaved your kid is, and if you can teach her that's it's not a toy, etc.
Nobody. An predict how any animal will react to a child. Why not get her toy cats for now and wait till she's about 7 and knows how to treat animals nicely?
