I have this switch blade I carry around in my pocket that my dad gave me about two years ago. I'll be walking down the street and see and anthill and just... have this burning temptation to stab it. Same with trees, dirt, carpets, wood, anything except for living breathing beings.

It's pretty normal. Like whenever I see bugs, i wanna stop at them so hard xD As long as you don't take a life, it's all good.
i'd say it's normal. and, like you said, it isn't really hurting anybody. maybe this is some form of emotional release for you, or even cathartic, in a way? or maybe you're discovering a new art form, have you ever stabbed a canvas or something like that? either way, it's cool that you came to this understanding about yourself, and you should feel free to keep doing what you're doing. :)
