Is it weird that i'm an adult and i started collecting dolls again?

I loved barbie as a child and still do today. I don't play with them like I used to but I started collecting again...yeah that's right I said it. I'm 27 and I still love Barbies. I stopped collecting when I was in my teen years like about....14 or 15.
One of my favorite hobbies and just love dressing them up.

Are you collecting older collectables that are worth money?

No just for a hobby. I know not everybody agrees with my hobby as an adult but I don't care.

I dun see anything wrong with it. People collect stuff either for money or because it's nice to look at.

Its a hobby, and it's perfectly normal. Just be sure to manage your money properly, and not go broke over barbies.

Thank you. I don't buy barbies every day. I got other things to take care of.

Normal. I myself have a large collection of stuffed females. My first and favorite is still my mother, who passed away more than a decade ago.

Perfectly normal. I collect all kinds of toys, specially railroad buildings, die cast cars, commercial airline airplanes, AND dolls.

My doll category, however, is specific: only dolls or "action figures"that depict celebrities. For example I have all the Starting Lineups you can imagine, plus Barbies of Lucille Ball and Vivian Vance, Rosie O' Donnell, Miley Cyrus, Lucy Lawless...I have a doll of Ricky Melendez of Menudo and looking forward to getting the other four Menudo dolls, and I have Sylvester Stallone from Demolition Man, I have figures of Jesus, Moses, Virgin Mary and David...oh and Barack Obama! And the Spice Girls!

I was the same way! Then one day when I was around 30... I don't really know why...I just lost interest. Although I do still watch the Barbie Dream Pool commercial from the 80's on youtube once in a while, I wanted that pool sooooo bad and I would still like to see one in person. It had so many cool details. I cut out the ad for it from a Sears catalog and I'd carry it around all day just staring at it. It aggrivated my dad and one day he snatched it out of my hands and lit it on fire :'(

    Anyway, I think it's normal.

    It is not weird.
Collecting dolls, even if they are not collectibles worth money, is totally fine. It's just like others collect coins or soda cans.

Nothing wrong with it as a hobby and makes you happy. Some people collect things much worse than dolls. I do home inventories, and trust me..See a lot. Dolls are normal.

As long as you're happy. You do whatever you want. Mental health is VERY important. Don't let anyone get in the way of your happiness.

As an adult, it would make more sense if your doll collection had a theme. For example, "Dolls of different cultures", or "Dolls of major historical periods", or mmmmm, whatever.
