Is it weird that i tap my book (or what ever i am reading) when i’m reading

I get a pencil and I tap my book with the eraser part. It helps me to stay focused. Some idiotic girls think I look retarded doing it but I do it anyway. Others think it’s weird. Some think I am doing voodoo and get scared... :/
