Is it weird to be attracted to a historical figure

This seems normal, people get crushes all the time even with people who are long passed. Now the question of it being ethical, honestly it depends on how you see it.

Julius Ceasar was really cool. The good leaders are usually stabbed in the back in one way or another.

I also read some stuff about Omar Gaddafi and he seemed to me to be a great leader before the US had him killed. What he did with Libya is probably the best example in history of a socialistic government actually succeeding. Look at what he did with wages and free housing. He took the oil money and gave it out to the citizens. Great guy but he tried to get the US dollar dropped as the oil standard. Westerners dont really know much about Gaddafi bit he was nothing like Sadam Hussein who they compare him to.
