Is it weird to be scared of elevators?
When I was an infant I guess I got stuck in an elevator ; the same happened as a child at the Hospital and as a teen at high-school , as well as once at the airport.
Nothing bad ever happened ; it was just a few minutes of being stuck (aside from the air-port where my step-father & I only had about 1/2 the elevator's worth to get out ; and the doors shut after we got out like immediately).
Ever since I was stuck in one at the Hospital as a kid I have been petrified of them. If they have a small jolt or the doors don't open immediately I get a sense of dread , and I only use them when there are no option(s) for stairs.
I have a small fear of fire , but it's not bad enough that I would never go near fire. I still love campfires and stuff ; as a kid it was bad though. However , the fear of elevators has never faded (since I've had 3 bad cases that I remember and 1 that I do not ; with only 1 actually being slightly worrying - airport).
I used to go to Le Moine Point alot when I lived in Kingston and there were Wild Turkey's there that circled me when I first saw them , and rather than fear I just handed them food. They were chill ; especially the one with only one eye. It kinda reminded me of my dog in a sense , because it didn't really stay with the others ; and more-so kinda just wanted more food when they all started to leave (:P). My mother has told me to be wary of them , even beforehand since they can I guess flog me ... Whatever.
I enjoy being outside at night by myself , I enjoy going into forests by myself , I enjoy ghost-hunting either with a small team or by myself.
The one thing I am truly terrified of is elevators.
Escalators are fine though , they're chill.
Fuckin' hate the CN Tower's elevator.
