Is my best friend turning into an ass?

Me and my best friend started being bff since we were 16.he was a very shy and nerdy guy but I was ok cause he was nice.we were competant in academic we stood at same percentage.except when college started I got really depressed cause I didn't have any friends .but his situation was different as he was studying amongst students of average intelligence and for me well pretty much a bunch of nerds!!took me a while to get into academic s emotionally.but my bff made progress he was was starting to be his class topper.I was making little progress .
.anyway s every time we talk seems all he talks about is I'm winning I work hard.I my life is ace with no regards to what I say .he seems to be changed but is he being an ass or just indulging in his life that I have come to no value?

    He is intelligent obviously but it sounds like it's getting to his head. Maybe you need a break from each other.

    He's becoming self centered and that's not good for your relationship (friend ship) you should try to tell him nicely its not all about him or have a friend tell him with you
