Is peanut butter bad for weight loss?

Just 1-2 teaspoons a day. Is it bad for weight loss? I'm trying to eat it when I crave a snack and it seems to help satisfy my cravings but I heard peanut butter is bad for weight loss from friends. Is it?

No, for the reason the other comments stated. As long as you're within your calorie deficit, you can still eat pretty much anything, just in moderation. I also don't consider peanut butter to be an unhealthy food overall.

You could buy a "natural" peanut butter that doesn't use added sugars to make it a bit healthier and cut some extra calories and sugar intake. I buy Skippy Natural crunchy peanut butter because I prefer the taste.

It's all about how many calories you consume.

You can eat just ice cream and still lose weight. You just need to limit yourself..

Frankly peanut butter is pretty good for a snack. High protien and some fat, keeps you fuller for longer.

The short answer is no. Nothing is bad for weight loss as long as you make sure you stay in calorie deficit. Peanut butter contains healthy fats that we need in our diet, just don't go overboard with it. It's also important what type of peanut butter you buy. If it's with glucose syrup, palm oil, etc then it's bad quality.

Sugar isnt all bad. Going over your daily allowance for sugar is bad as other nutrients and fats.

Peanut butter is worth it though
