Is saturn return real?

It feels real. My friend told me my depression was because of this Saturn Return, which happens between ages 27 and 30. Is it normal that ever since I turned 27 (in January) I became depressed even though I have a bf, a job, a cat, a good family and everything seems to be alright?

Saturn return is rubbish: it would be better for you to find out the real reason for your depression rather than attribute it to a planet. It's quite possible to be depressed even though everything seems to be all right in your life.

It's an astrological theory that every seven years Saturn is in the same position it was at your birth and therefore it's supposed to be a time of change. Some people who believe in it have a bet each way and say it affects you on x number of years both sides of the actual return.

It has about as much validity as anything else to do with astrology.

Would that "something" usually be a big hairy sausage, per chance?
