Is the us becoming totally wireless, if so, when?

If that happens (and that's a BIG if considering the gross and seemingly intentional incompetency of government) it wouldn't occur for a few more decades. I don't think the country will ever get 100% wireless
Landlines are important for emergencies (they can be tracked easier) I feel like it would be careless to get rid of them.
I don't know that we'll ever be totally wireless.
if you're in Chicago, and you use your cell phone to call a cell phone in New York, that call still travels over wires between Chicago and New York. It's only wireless to the closest cell tower. I don't see that changing anytime soon.
It honestly flips between land line and wireless. 10 years in the future theres gonna be a line that's 10× better than wireless.
