Is there a “set age limit” for playing video games?

Like what do you think is a “normal age range” for playing video games? 18-30? Or 21-35?? Or 20-40?? How old would be “too old” for playing games?

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

They an art form and a pastime. It's like setting age limits on paintings or sports.

Only if you're a 30plus neckbeard who plays 12 hours a day and has anime posters all over the walls.

Most games get boring. Play while it's fun.

No there isn't. It's a fun pasttime that anyone can enjoy especially since there's so many different types of games, there's something for pretty much everyone.

I think it's about responisbilites. My dad's well into his 60s now and he likes to play AOE1 to take breaks from his pretty high earning, job; where as I'm a fat, lazy bastard who plays them way too much but I'm in my early 20s.

Never too old. But you dont wanna let it take over your life. If you dont have a job or gf and play 12 hours a day thats not good.

There’s no age limit for playing the games as long as you have a good job, relationships and life goals as well. Playing games all or most of the time is sad and pathetic

So you're saying I should not be able to play video games solely because i dont have a relationship? (I have no reason to think I would without videogames/other use of the computer) and dont have a job (became unemployed shortly before corona and a little before that sprained my ankle, I normally have a job/school otherwise). If anything I play videogames a lot because I have actually little else to do, I dont have it take over the time where I DO have something important to do. People should be able to enjoy their spare time any way they want (without hurting someone) regardless of whether theyre conventionally succesful (but also try to improve yourself of course)

Video games are for all ages .
There are people who collect old video games back in the 80s

Video games is a generation hobby .
Grandfather to father to son or daughter you get my point .

Yes. Once you pass a certain age the police will arrest you if they catch you playing it!

Some games are not for kids and old people (like 50 plus) probably don't do much of anything on a computer (even if there are exceptions) but otherwise, no. Anyone should be able to play videogames if they want to
