Is this a sensible argument for pineapple pizza?

It's a great combo, imo. I even like it when it's the only topping- no ham.

That being said, the flavor is unique, so I can understand why it doesn't appeal to everyone. However, I don't get people who say "pineapples on pizza is wrong" "or weird".

Pineapples are sweet, acidic fruits. Guess what else is sweet, sour, and a fruit- tomato. Practically all pizza sauces have sugar, but the tartness from the tomato is still there.

Yes, tomatoes and pineapples taste different, but fundamentally, pineapple is hardly more wrong to go with cheese and bread than tomato sauce is.

    I hate pineapple for personal reasons. So for me I hate pineapple pizza.

    I deplore pineapple on pizza. And bbq sauce ewwww. I love both of those things, just not on pizza. And pineapple is many many times sweeter than even the sweetest tomato. To each their own, I won't be partaking though.

        I love bacon, but not on pizza. Ham always gives me acid reflux and indigestion.
