I’ve had a FWB relationship for about a year. Last time we had sex he asked “ Did we just make love the last time we were together?”
How should I feel about that? Like do you typically ask those things with a FWB situation?
Maybe he has a crush on u and he never admitted it. So that question probably just slipped out.

Did you have sex just for fun with no commitment.... or is there some actual feeling between you that you would like to build up?
I'm not sure that I'd call it love yet... but you might call it budding love and you'd like it to develop more if he would agree to that.
