Is this neglect?

I've been struggling with an unknown illness for over three years now, and whenever I ask to go to the doctor, she will refuse. She'll either demean me, and say I'm overreacting, or she'll give me false hope on going, and we'll never go. I've been coughing up blood and phlem, choking on my own mucus, can't leave bed without pain, and it's difficult to breathe on my own. When I go to the doctor, they can never figure out what's causing my sickness. And I had to sign paperwork saying she's not allowed in the room because she attempts to discredit me in front of my doctor, and make jokes.

    Yeah, it's neglect.

It sounds like whoever is taking care of you is probably in a serious state of denial about how sick you really are to avoid the reality that you might be dying or other possible reasons such as the cost of medical treatment, etc.

Yes, this is neglect. Can you get someone else to take you to the doctor?

Is there another adult who you trust to take you to the doctor? If there is, please approach them..it is NOT normal to cough up blood and you clearly have a nasty infection which will get worse without proper treatment. Do you have a teacher you could talk to, a friend's mother? there's got to be someone - but if not, you need to see a doctor on your OWN, without the person you mention in your post.
