Is this nightmare normal?

I had a nightmare where I was driving to my house. I looked at the house and red light was shining through the windows. I thought "Oh shit, somebody broke in!" and walked into the door (which was unlocked) The interior of the house was all red and grainy. The first thing I noticed was that the TV and my old, broken Wii were both on. For some reason, I decided to check the history on the internet channel, and whoever broke in was looking up some weird shit on Google Images. Wet dogs, piles of feces, people with greasy hair, the Crypt Keeper, etc. I walked upstairs, opened the door to my room, and saw a psycho laying on my bed. He was extremely pale, emaciated, and had purple bags under his eyes that hung halfway down his face. This was when I noticed that the house smelled like decay. The psycho turned his head toward me and gave me a big smile with yellow, blood-caked teeth. Then I woke up.

It's a dream, child. Dreams are not usually normal.

It represents an intruder who is gaining unwanted access to your personal life...

When I was twelve years my sister was abducted by extra terrestrial life. I saw a bright light. My body was paralyzed. I could see her floating away and then nothing.

Our dreams sometimes try to remind us of things, things we no longer wish to remember. Is there anything else you haven't told us about, did this creature perhaps talk to you in any way or did anything unusual happen after the fact?

Maybe you fear decay in your home, time to clean the house.

Sounds pretty normal to me. According to the dream interpretation books I've read, it may mean that you will soon meet the boy of your dreams. Unfortunately, though he will be your true love for life (the red light), he will have some pretty disgusting eating habits (the blood-caked teeth) and you will need to spend some big bucks on his yellow teeth before you are comfortable going out in public with him.

    • I'm a straight guy, and I don't find that very likely because this thing appeared to be a murderous abomination.
