I'm 23, shy, nervous, self conscious, never had a boyfriend.
Been on a dating app about a month had some matches but they are either wanting hook ups or pictures or are just idiots which aren't my type.
One guy popped up, way out of my league.. he was very nice, got speaking to him he's said some nice things, you're beautiful, I'd love to date you, the journey is worth the effort (we are an hour aaay)

Now my mum was worried I wasn't trying so today I told her I'd joined one she was happy, she asked if I was speaking to anyone so I told her briefly about him. She said he's no good from that area really (because he's not local)
It bothered and upset me, I am into him and he's into me, we have exchanged videos and pictures (snapchat not nudes)

And he's just quirky like me, he makes me laugh and smile and wants to call me, another big thing because I'm so nervous and can't do it around my parents (mum won't like it)
I know I'm 23 and can do what thefuck I want
But aniexty. And what my mum said is beating me up inside.

    You are a 23-year-old and I love how you're in touch with your mom, but if your mom won't accept your opinions and feelings then that's not cool and it's fine for her to have different opinions than you but you both need to learn how to respect them. If your still bothered on how your mom reacted to what you told her just try to talk to her about it but if she gives you fuss then just tell her that your happy and if she doesn't like that then you don't know what she will like. I hope this helps! <3

    Maybe if you ask your mum for a short conversation with him- your mother change her opinion?Maybe she is afraid of you? Maybe she is jealous that you found somebody. No mather what maybe talk qith her first if that qont bring the result go ahead and meet with him, ypur mother can talk tp you what you have o do because you're an adult person:-)and you have your own brain. Your life your choices;-)
