Is this normal, who does this?

I'd like to start of by saying I am NOT paranoid, I have proof. So I have this friend Who put audio recording technology in my room, bugged my cell phone as well, even Keylogged my computer. He will even wait outside my house from 1 pm till 9 pm till I get home from work.

haha. We did this and had a private detective follow my ex brother in law when he was cheating on my sister.

But seriously it's creepy. Why have you not asked him WTF he's playing at?

This is not normal. This is also not an okay thing for him to be doing AT ALL. I'm assuming you know a bit about what stalking is, as this is an incredibly clear-cut case of it, assuming that what you said is true. I urge you to cut ties with him at once, explaining that he is crossing the line and completely breaching your privacy, but keep any proof of stalking you may already have, as this can be useful if you feel it necessary to contact authorities. If he continues his surveillance after this, then you have an absolutely bona fide reason to involve the police; a restraining order may be necessary to keep you safe, especially if he has any sort of violent tendencies. Don't let him frighten or manipulate you, and expect that he might employ tactics such as intimidation and threats to keep you under his surveillance. I would suggest you let your friends in on his behavior in order to form a support network and help keep you safe. Keep your phone with you at all times, in case you need to call 911 for whatever reason. I would also suggest that you avoid any place where this individual could get you alone until the situation is sorted out. It may also be helpful to do some research and get a legal consultation from someone who knows the law on issues such as these well, in order to plan the best course of action. Stay strong.
