I'm 46 now, but ever since I was a kid, it hurts when I defecate. It feels like broken glass, knives & shards of glass coming out of me. And it's not every once in a while - it's EVERY SINGLE TIME.
If you have haemorrhoids it might hurt and bleed when you defecate. Maybe internal haemorrhoids.

You need some fiber bad. And a trip to the doctor quickly. I’ve been there, completely blocked, ER isn’t any fun. Go see your primary care physician
The simple and easiest fix is to drink more water if your stool is hard. Second is adjusting your diet to include more fruit and veg, third is exercise. Failing that, try a stool softener, not a laxative.
Ok thank you. I'll look into the stool softener. And when you say more water, that would include other liquids like lemonade, Gatorade etc.?
Also, are you taking any regular medications? Many cause digestive issues. If so, discuss with the prescribing doctor.
No, I mean plain old water. Sugary drinks can cause constipation in some people. If you drank a lot of sugary drinks your whole life you should probably have a blood screening to insure there are no underlying issues, but doing the other things I mentioned may help - the stool softener is a last resort, not a long-term or regular solution.

Sounds like your diet is way too low in fiber, which makes shit hard. Then add dehydration to it which would then be making your shit as hard as jagged edge rocks. Increase your fiber, drink a lot of water, and take a stool softener every day. Your shit should then be much softer giving the inside of your ass a much needed break. Also apply some lotion to help heal all the little cuts and soreness inside your anus.

Yeah. The op needs to seriously up his fiber intake too and start taking stool softeners. But he needs to see a doctor too incase the fiber and stool softeners ain't enough, which they might not be. He needs to do all of the above. The doc will probably strongly recommend the fiber and stool softener, and prescribe other medication and have him take a colonoscopy.
I use to have a similar problem a year ago and I am younger then you.
Every time I would do it would hurt like hell and it would be very bloody I was freaked out and thought I had cancer parasite or some shit.
To add to the problem I wasn't able to go for long periods of time and only bits would come out my stomach hurt like hell and I was miserable.
But all it was I wasn't drinking enough water when I started drinking water more it took sometime but I no longer have the problem.
