It is normal that i don't understand art?
Why do people spend hours looking at art pieces? Like, for real. Oh and by the way, I have taken 2 art history classes, 4.00 in both of them.

Lol, I don't either, but I love "low art". "Fine art" is boring as hell to me, but I'm sure some people get feelings from it.
i have taken zero, but art is beautiful. i love it like crazy. it is the best. i mean. i keep on looking at what people have created. i have not got the ability for art. i just like making cute things with pencil and paper, but other people's vision whether it is art, music, or written makes me so happy i cannot stand it.
People tend to look longer at art and other things that they think are pretty. (Unless they're just zoned out or trying to look cool in some way.) I think some people get emotional about art because they feel inspired to make cool things by it or it reminds them of a personal experience.
So it's basically all about personal opinion and you shouldn't feel bad for feeling different than other people do or tell you to. :3
Art is in all different aspects... think about it, I view choreographic dance as art. I’m so touched and moved by it, it can tell stories and make me cry, and some people just won’t understand it. You should YouTube search (twofourseven body rock 1st place) SO GREAT. Music is a genius art. Culinary chefs make art. People are inspired by different kinds of art not just paintings and abstract shit.
Yeah because most of that critique is actually what people pretend it is. Anyways, some people have no specific interest in these things and are less likely to admire this. It's normal.
