Every time I go to the bathroom I had this childhood fear that I haven't grown out of where I punch the shower curtain, believing there was a ghost or an intruder hiding in there. But I also fear that the chance that someone I know is in it for whatever reason, leading to me punching them too.
I've pulled the curtain back before just in case. 🤣 I think the thought that someone might be behind it is extremely common.
My master bathroom shower has a glass door and is visible from where I rest my head on my pillow in my bedroom, and just looks like a dark abyss at night, which has creeped me out and made my mind play tricks like wondering if someone could be hiding in there, specifically if I've watched or read something that freaked me out or woken up from a creepy dream.
I once read a meme that said "We all check behind the shower curtain for murderers... but none of us know what we'd do if we actually found one"

I feel like you'd know if someone you know was in the shower because you'd hear the water running...unless they're just standing there trying to watch you use the bathroom. In that case, you'd probably want to punch them.
Assuming ghosts are even real I really don't think a ghost would care about a punch if anything you'd probably just piss it off because of the attempt to hit it.
