I do that so I don't choke on them before I'm ready to swallow, then use my tongue to scoop them up and push them back.

Whatever works for you.

I toss pills into the back of my throat and swallow, since my experience is that most start to dissolve on contact with saliva and most medications taste terrible.

I just chew a little food, put the pill in my mouth, and then swallow. When the pill is mixed with the food, it's much easier to swallow.

I used to put equal packets, empty them under my tongue and suck on them.. lol when I was like 12, so anyway I can sort of relate.
