Join police or join the military

First off I have to meps so there is no gaurentee. Also I have a not very good job since my score sucked so I have gun repair as my job. I want college and at this rate I cant apply until I turn age 24 which is 2 years away. I on the verge of being homeless but signed up for Unemployment. I trying get my license still but I sure I can do that within a month. I have a bad feeling that when I get out if I cant get into the department I might just end up homeless. I wanted to move to Seattle Washington but I hear jobs are not so good up there but the police academy is currently hiring. What should I do? If I stay for the police department and dont get it I wont have a job and I still waiting on my stupid unemployment check. Im currently 22 and I have very little going on my life and it seems at this rate ill be stuck in poverty till the day I die but since my parents went from poverty to middle class, and now are middle class, that tends to screw up a lot of the benefits I can get. Since its a crap job I probobly wont be able to transfer it over into much anyways when I come back. The Current job market in America is shit right now, and I am originally from California and everyone and their mom is applying to the same damn job for McDonald.

    Its not a good time for either but I'd vote work for the sherrifs office its not as bad as police.

    police would be safer, but military I think you have more choices for continuing your education or joining the workforce after you decide to leave. Anyway I don't think it's wise to restrict yourself to just these two, there must be plenty of other things that you can do which would interest you. I suggest keep looking and keep your options open. I wish you well.

    Lol, be surprised if you could make it through one day of basic training.

    People who join the military are usually people who want to join, because they want to serve the country.

    Not because they believe they are out of options.

    That said, I wouldn't join either until this current corrupted government regime is displaced.

    The Police (STATE) are some of the most hated people in America right now.

              College Grads can't find jobs because they have no practiced skills. What are your skills? I'm betting none, or next to none.

              College is a scam these days. A degree won't land you a job in most professions. It will likely land you in major debt though.

              I've had a steady well-paying career for nearly a decade, and I never went to college, am debt free.
