Kicked out of school for drawing hitler

This happened to me about five years ago while I was in high school and it's still bothering me. I made a drawing of hitler selling hotdogs because I didn't have anything better to do and they kicked me out of school for that. Because of this it took an extra year for me to graduate and I was forced to see a psychologist. Were they overreacting or did I deserve this?

They were overreacting. You had every right to draw him. You didn't do anything wrong. This is a perfect example of liberal PC. Are you from Germany, by any chance? They really overreact to anything remotely Nazi related. I remember reading somewhere that it is illegal to own nazi paraphernalia. :(

They overreacted. Now if you were making pro-Nazi images, but just Hitler himself...they need to chill out.

You should go back and spray paint the school with various Nazi symbols.

  • lol. I have some hilarious stories about things I got in trouble for drawing too. One was I was kicked out of a class for good because we were taking a test and I had a wart on my hand. I ripped it off with a staple and started bleeding so I wrote my test in blood. The girl sitting next to me and started freaking out and the teacher saw. I was sent out and never allowed back in the class again.

There were many other things I got in trouble for, but there is one very bizzare story I will tell in another post I will go write now.

Its normal that they reacted that way, but that doesn't mean its right. Since ur required by law to go to school till ur 16 or whatever it should have fallen under free speech.

It sounds like you were making fun him.
Hm.. Must've been Hitler fans. In that case be glad they didn't gas you.
Too much? Yeah, too much. Not changing it though, your school pisses me off.

It's stupid really but I can understand their position too. There are instances where young kids are attracted to become Neo-Nazis n they paint reverse swastikas n stuff. I'm not sure what's ur full story but it's still a matter of past. Just think of it as bad luck n move on.

    Hitler is no joking matter.
But you were young and still a kid. So i feel that punishment is to extreme. But it just goes to show how serious of a situation that was and how much hate people have for hitler.
I dont blame them for reacting so harshly.

Sorry for your misfortune. But hitler is no joking matter.

    They're definitely overreacting.

This is terrible. You shouldn't have been subjected to this. Although there is a "full story" that could explain their predilection to do this, I doubt that's the case. It would be interesting to hear if there were previous altercations.
