Kitty in the drawer...?

Recently, my boyfriend moved in with me and I have a cat. My cat has lately changed his behavior and I want to know if this is typical cat behavior?

My kitty has found his way into pretty much every drawer in the apartment and lurks there until my boyfriend opens it and jumps out at him. Generally, this is the bathroom drawer or the silverware drawer but he somehow did this with the underwear drawer last weekend. The critter just jumps out, sticks to his shirt and starts howling.

He only does this to my boyfriend, if anyone else opens the drawer, he just pops right out and walks away.

What the hell does this mean, is it normal?

Its normal. Cats dont really like change and it will take a while for it to adjust to having a new person in the house. Also it may not like your boyfriend for any number of reasons. Cats are fickle creatures.

Your cat is jealous, poor thing. He had you all to himself and then you brought this interloper home and he is no longer number one in your life.
Your boy friend needs to make friends with this little tyrant. Have him feed the cat, give it "treats" and pet it as often as he can. If the cat likes to play, your bf will want to play with it often. If your bf has no interest in doing all this, then you are going to have to make a choice, because things will not improve, all on their own.

The only advice I can think of is to make a YouTube video of this immediately...it's sounds hilarious and adorable.

I'm surprised that you don't have a random picture of a cat popping out of a drawer and attacking someone on hand...you've failed me!

Yeah its normal. My cat does it too. I think that its just playing when it does this. Cats can be very mischievous. My cat did this to me when he got into my drawers. He did it to me, he did it to my dad at the time, and he even jumped at my mom. I moved out since that time and now I have no drawers so he no longer does it. Hes just being a brat. Cats play by pouncing, chasing, and stalking. To him this is probably a sort of game and as much as it might bother you he thinks its all in good fun. Teach him its bad to hide in drawers or hell keep doing it.

That's pretty funny! Maybe the kitty has a sense of humor or its trying to tell you your taste in boyfriends does not meet Kitty's approval.

Kitty! I wish it could jump on me! Eheeheehee! Too bad, I only have two dogs... It would kind of hurt if they jumped on me... because... they're fat now...

He sounds like he doesn't like him. Animals are good at sensing these things. If your cat doesn't like him, he probably has a good reason.

Hmmm...a kitty in the drawer. Is that similar to a pocket pussy?
