Is it normal to still be playing knock down ginger in my 70's?
A few years ago, some kids knocked and ran from my front door. Except, from across the street they stopped to pull down their pants and mooned me with their bares arses. I gave these 'perverts of the future' a thumbs up from my front step. It must have been the quality attention they were looking for because they never came back.
If I opened my door just to see an old person jogging away chuckling I would just laugh honestly. Especially if they were short and looked like Danny DeVito.
Why is it called Knock Down Ginger? And where do they call it that?
We always called it Ding Dong Ditch. (Northeastern US.)
Because, well, you ding dong and then ditch.
Knicky knocky nine doors up north of England, every region has their own name I guess
I used to do something similar like that with my cousin we would go to the back alley ( basically behind the shops/restaurants ) knock on doors and make a run for it, one time my cousin and I ran when it was a rainy day and the guy tried to catch us but the guy slipped that he couldn't catch us but it was kinda funny but painful.
