Is it normal to knock on the door and then immediately barge right in without waiting for a response?
Someone I know does this, won't stop and I'm about to beat the shit out of them next time they do it.
PS: what's the point of knocking if you're just going to barge in without waiting for a response?
My parents do this.
By keeping the door locked now, I'm slowly training them to wait after knocking.
Yeah it's like when someone asks a question like would it be ok if i had some of your sweets and then grabs a hand full before i saw ok.
I'd like to piss on their farts and feed them it.

I don't understand it either, it's completely pointless and inconsiderate.
yeah my mum does that. she used to just barge in but after i moaned that it always made me jump she started to knock before barging in just so she could say. what do you mean? i knocked.
Normal for me. I usually just knock and walk into my friend's houses and say hello immediately. My friends do to. If I know you and you knock on my door, don't make me get up to answer the door. Just come on in. If I don't want to be disturbed, I lock the door.
According to Islamic etiquette, person must give salam (Islamic greeting - Assalamu Alaikum) and knock three times. If no response you should go back. No barging in.
Of course; it's also an invasion of privacy. I understand that my folks are the people that established the rules in our household, but they should know that everyone should have equality, at least in terms of privacy. I knock on their bedroom door, ask for permission to come in, and then I go in. Too bad they can't remember to do the same for me. :\
