Learning social cues from tv. iin?

I'm 20 but I've had difficulty socializing for all my life so I feel naturally robotic or monotone, and awkward around others because I'm not sure what's proper. I like the way people act in shows and movies so I copy that, not too theatrical so I don't get caught, but I have a few times... I make weird faces and people laugh then i just smile at them like I was kidding but I'm starting to lose control of it as it comes naturally now. When I am in public I feel like I am just acting out scenes in a tv show and I almost see them in my mind as I do. Same goes for speech, if I like the way someone talks, their inflections and all that, I copy it to use in my own speaking. I even have a character who isn't me but represents myself in my imaginations...IIN?

Yeah, I get where you're coming from. I honestly sometimes feel as though my life is just one big sitcom.

A shitcom, for the state of my life currently, lol.

Ever make a joke and yell "bazinga!" ?
That's Sheldon Cooper's thing. Do you watch Big Bang Theory? I love it.

A males brain isn't fully developed until he's 23-25. Just be yourself; remember there is only one you on this planet.

I can't speak for acting out behaivors from shows and movies but I will sometime copy what some1 else does, not on purpose, kind of an impulse because either they are getting attention or other people are drawn to them

Maybe you could make an appointment with a doctor for referral to a psychiatrist? I am not saying that you necessarily need it, but it is sometimes useful to get a professional opinion when you have the sort of questions that you have. All the best.
