Let me tell you what a thing is
It's normal to only have a specific definition of a word, especially a definition with a very specific meaning.
One, a cocktail is a beverage made of brandy, whisky or gin, iced, flavoured and sweetened.
Two, a punch is a beverage, generally containing a mixture of fruit juice and some other beverage, often alcoholic.
Three, a parfait (parfait glacé) is an iced dessert of cream, egg yolks, sugar and flavouring (usually fruit), sometimes with the addition of a liqueur.
Four, a perfectionist is one who's unwilling to settle for anything that's not perfect or doesn't meet extremely high standards.
Five, a mocktail is a mixed drink made from any of various ingredients (such as fruit juice, herbs, and soda water), but without alcohol; a nonalcoholic cocktail.
Six, a cheesecake is an open tart filled with flavoured cream cheese or curd.
And seven, a frittata is a form of omelette in which vegetables, cheese, etc are mixed into the eggs and cooked together.
Not the other way around, you can't use words to mean what you want them to mean. These things are precisely what words really mean, you can't use a dictionary for the meanings you want, you can only use a dictionary for the truth.
