Its more or less a male bonding thing. If you're not into it, it is OK. No shame in asking though.

Even if you give each other a hand, its still not gay. Gay is not the sexual act--ask any inmate who has sex with another inmate then once out, goes right back to women--gay is more an emotional, attraction thing, same attraction some have towards the opposite sex but towards the same sex.

I accidentally hit one of the options, but I'm not sure which one it was, so I'll give my opinion in words. It's not a super uncommon behavior, even among heterosexual males, but not something that is totally commonplace. Do what you want, man. No judgement. The intolerant can get bent.
