Marriage, college, babies

Ive noticed that most people in life... esp. Parents, only care about the college I go to, if I wanna have kids and if I'll get married.

You see though, I hate babies. They're extremely annoying and their a waste of money and time.

Marriage - I do like many girls and I've been in a fair amount of relationships - but I do not wanna get stuck with only ONE girl all my life.

College - if I do go to college, it will be a college for like music, because I'm a guitarist and I want my band to pay for my bills and stuff.

Is it okay to think thAt life is not only about these 3?

    Let me just tell you that your "band" is not going to make enough money to pay your bills so give that dream up.

    That's a bit crap saying that someone should give up now on their dream. Yes you should have a back up plan and think fairly realistically about what you want to achieve but not give up entirely. I wonder how many of todays bands wouldn't be around if they'd listened to people telling them not to bother.
    As for the poster, you sound young and you might be surprised at how your perspective changes as you get older. Nobody is asking you to conform to a model society but as you age so your perspective changes. Personally don't give up on at least going to college, be sensible and have a back up plan! As for the other things - give it time! At least you're not one of these stupid kids who gets someone pregnant at a young age and throws their life away!

    My god, I do hope that this is fake.
    First of all, to say that babies are a waist of time is kind of...well, I will give you a minute to think about that, I hope you figure it out.
    Now, I once had the dream of becoming a successful musician aswell, of course, I then turned 14 years of age.
    There is nothing wrong with keeping these dreams, but I would not base your life around them, you will be very disappointed.
    Keep the dream, but live in reality.

      This is crap.
      No one has to follow the stereotypical American Dream. It is what you make it. Do what you like, and learn along the way.
      Not everyone's goals in life follow the norm. What's important to you? What are you trying to achieve? Do you just want security and comfort? Okay, get the desk job and buy a house in the suburbs. Marry a nice girl. I bet you can guess what the rest of your life will be like.
      Do whatever makes you happy. Don't be pressured by everyone's expectations; exceed them.

    its just the way it was done in your parents day. in this day and age we can choose the lives we want. the world is so overpopulated and so many people have babies for stupid reasons, esp white trash bogans who will have 10 kids each by the age of 20 more than makes ups for you not having them. marriage is a huge waste of money, and its extemely annoying how precious people are about their stupid weddings, when you get the same benefits being in a defacto relationship. education actually serves a worthwhile purpose though.

    I agree with being against marriage and babies, they are 2 extremely annoying things that make me sick. But I am all for college... people need to further their education and hopefully open up their minds to new ideas in college.

    I know several musicians who tour the country doing what they love. The money they make pays their travel expenses so they can follow their dream. They are all college educated.

    Really? You hate babies? They're a waste of time? Really? Think about it: how would you have gotten to where you are without being a "waste of time"? Besides it's called life. That's how life goes on and adapts. From creating offspring. Seriously. Change your motives.
