Me and my cousin used to have "crayfish kingdoms"
Every year during summer break, our parents would bring me and my 3 siblings up in northern Minnesota for a week long camping trip at a beautiful forested campsite. My grandparents would come to, bringing our 2 cousins. There was a lake dock with a boat launch we would go to to catch crayfish. Then me and my cousin and younger sister would name our catches and give them rankings in the crayfish kingdom. The biggest crawdad would be king and we would have the queen and so on. I just remember doing this and the crayfish would always try getting back to water but we wouldn't let them go. After they would all die we threw them in the lake and said our goodbyes to the fallen kingdom. I don't know what we were thinking, but is this the slightest bit normal?
