Meds quit working for mental issues

When I start a new drug it helps tremendously to where I can stay calm and relax and not have anxiety issues. I can just sit back and watch tv and be normal. The last thing I did was CBD which worked incredible for about 2 weeks until it stopped. 5HTP did the same thing and other drugs also. I try taking more to compensate for the tolerance but I will feel the effects but no improvement anymore. I dont know why my body does this. I believe I have brain damage I'm all fucked up. But nothing works for long.

I dont have depression anymore but my brain just goes 100mph and I cant stop thinking and my brain is so active I cant seem to think clearly. I have trouble focusing, tremendous anxiety. I start to want to be alone. And oddly enough some days I wake up and I feel completely normal. Then it comes back.

It is normal. There are many medical reports about people growing immune to medications, even passing the immunity to their children. A lot of medical reports also state that we're in dire need of new antibiotics, and other medications, due to said immunity.

Personally, SSRIs were horrible for me. They definitely aren't for everyone and can cause a lot of issues for some people. Perhaps there might be a different method other than medication that might work better for you? Or if medication is a necessity, a different kind that produces more consistent longterm results? Discussing different options with your doctor would be a good place to start.

    • SSRIs also worked great at first and then stop working. Raising the MGs doesnt help either.

Perhaps other alternatives to medication can be tried? Certain types of therapy? I find that in some if not most cases, a lot of medications tend to not work out long term.

        • Ive tried therapy also. It doesnt work because in my opinion it is not a mental outlook issue it is entirely a physical issue with my brain. I feel like I've had a shot of adrenaline. When its bad I have issues with speech also.

Why do you think it's a physical issue?

Have you tried mediation daily? It definitely helps.

  • That's the problem with meds it's common to grow immune to them eventually and then you have to switch to another kind.
