Ho ho ho! Somenormie here, wishing all of you a Merry Christmas and a happy new year.
I can't believe Christmas is already here, well this is the day to be jolly. Hopefully we get to stuff ourselves with turkey, stuffings, ham and other stuff.
I know Christmas won't be as exciting as previous years but enjoy yourselves.

It is (was, as of three minutes ago) His birthday. It is the day we celebrate His birth. Thus, the traditional cry is heard, "Christ is born!"
I'm talking about the literal time of the birth of christ. Granted christmas is far better than celebrating the winter solstice but shouldnt we have at least the birth month of jesus. Or maybe the season. If I recall christmas wasnt the actual birthday and it was just moved centuries ago to conform over the winter solstice tradition in europe.
Oh, so you're talking about the opinions of modern "biblical scholars." Their opinions don't matter in the slightest. They are almost all unbelievers and infidels, and it seems that they wish to undermine the faith as much as possible with their scandalous and stupid opinions.
Christmas is Christ's birthday, as tradition dictates. The idea that it was "moved" or "only in December to coincide with pagan holidays" is baseless, just as many of the other assertions of "biblical scholars."
I know its potatoes potatos at this point but the inquiry of christ's confirmed birthday is a worthy observation to make. Guessing that's it's a particular date doesnt do the day its justice.
Even if we go by the roman census time frame as the rough time of jesus's birthday would certainly be beneficial if only for curiosity of those who discover it. A virtue that would like to think God would appreciate.
Christmas is not going to be moved, pondering the correct date that would match within the modern gregorian calendar is a fascinating subject though.
I find the idea of digesting the bible on an individual basis and then applying said times to concede with recorded history to be novel. The more the bible sounds like a history book the better the message would spread. In fact it would mean the difference between the word of God and a book of poems.
Oh, ya know, fun stuff like my dad passing away on the 17th and then my foolish alcoholic ass getting arrested on the 19th, a temporary restraining order against me, spending the night in jail then being alone in a motel room. Good times 😔
