As a resident of wisconsin with family in michigan, I can comfortably say that wisconsin is better (when compared with michigan)
I feel like I should add a caveat for those who arent familiar. The upper peninsula (UP) is NOT Michigan (in every way except the name). Totally different sort of people, "Da Yoopers", wholesome hillbilly types (occasional inbred communities) still mostly hearty. They dont even support the lions, most are packers fans.
Michigan proper died when detroit dried up, industry has been making a comeback, but that's happening pretty much everywhere. Wisconsin has the virgin soil for building up new stuff. Not renovating Ford factories for making buttplugs.
If you want cheap prices to live, gave up on your dreams of grandeur and want to settle somewhere quiet but not far from civilization and a chili's. It's pretty nice
I couldn't live in Wisconsin for the same reason I couldn't live in Texas: I don't like states that are religiously devoted to one political party or the other. I like when the people there actually think about important issues rather than defaulting to blue = good red = bad or vice versa
I probably sound like a hypocrite given how much I bitch about the left. I hate both parties, I just hate the left more
What do you mean. Wisconsin is a swing state, we switch it up constantly. Which is why I like it. A supermajority doesnt do anyone good, especially in betweens like myself.
Minnesota has awesome geology though.
The mountains along Lake Superior are some of the oldest earth and they have waterfalls everywhere.
I just can’t understand not liking a state mainly because of political beliefs. There are conservatives areas in Minnesota.
You can still find float copper just laying around in the UP. It's a fun past time. Got a pound chunk (or nugget, does that only apply to gold?)
Yes... Most of Minnesota. The cities are liberal, like most states. I just happen to live in an nice appartment block in suburbia of corn town X.
They're both democrat run states. I cant choose which one theyre both kind of crap.
Wisconsin is objectively better ( if we exclude anything below the line of madison) (ps, FIB’s ruin wisconsin)
Uninhabitable for both!
My thermometer only goes down to -10c that's around 15f. Anything colder I freeze into a cube. Even southern US pushes it.
Wisconsin all the way. I have nothing against Michigan, I just know more people from Wisconsin and they are all lovely people.
