Moaning when you eat

Who the hell sits there and moans when they eat? I cannot imagine how food is that good to where you just start moaning away as you are eating.

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

I moan when it comes out the other end.
Then I say "That was really good,"

I've done it, but not in public. Sometimes you're really hungry, and the food hits just right. It could be the first bite of a perfectly cooked five-star meal... it could just be some water with a lemon wedge, but it tastes like ambrosia sent to you by God himself.

Not in public, though. Maybe an "mmm, this is good" but past that, calm it down.

I hate loud eaters. Didn't you learn how to eat like a civilized human being when you were a kid???

    Chew with your mouth closed.
Don't talk with your mouth full.
Don't slurp, smack or make weird noises.
Don't moan - you're eating, not having an orgasm!
    Don't twirl your eating utensils.
Don't poke your food around and move it aimlessly. If you're not hungry - don't eat.
Don't burp extremely loud, unless you're a very good friend of mine and the mood is right - then let 'er rip!

And finally... if you're an annoying vegan who's gonna piss me off all evening - don't come to my house.

I was always taught to twirl pasta with a fork and spoon. Is that incorrect?

That's different. I mean twirl utensils, because you are bored, or you try to be interesting.

It's obvious you have never really been exposed to really good food.

Yes, lots of people make various sounds when they run into really tasty and pleasing food.

    • And it's obvious you're one of those people that feel like it's necessary to moan when eating. Great. Thanks for the clarification.

Yes, I have been exposed to really good food. I really like thai chicken, hamburgers, and steaks, but do I moan when I eat these dishes? No. They're good but not to the point where I just need to moan to express how delicious I think they are. No food is that good to where you just HAVE to moan.

You are correct in that some people just lack good taste abilities. Just as some people have some degree of color blind.

I'm partially color blind, but have really good taste abilities.

You may have normal color vision, but poor taste.

        • So what you're saying is that if you don't moan when you eat, you don't have good taste abilities? Okay.🤣

You're the one who said that they cannot imagine anything tasting so good that it would make you create some kind of pleasure sound.

There are a lot of people who experience just that and cannot imaging that there is not food that will do that for them.

I just extrapolated that to how good a person's sensation of taste is, as many people have different abilities in different senses.

Its rude to moan while you eat in my opinion. People need more self control. They always do the moan then the smack then the moan again. Its poor table manners.

              Comment Hidden ( show )
            • Yes, because I don't need to moan in order to express how good something tastes. Food can be really delicious, but not to the point where you make sounds.

I hate when ppl do that. I find it really gross when ppl eat junk food and moan and all this mess. People are like drug addicts with food. Theyre obese but are still obsessed witb it. Look at any fat person cart at a grocery store. Its disgusting.

    • Trust me, I see plenty of those every time I go to walmart.

It would honestly be pretty irritating to listen to someone moaning when they eat.

  • Okay, you wouldn't even know what you were talking about even if it hit you in the ass. Kidneys (they taste good extra bloody), brain stew, liver- Are these not good foods? Of course they are. Absolutely delicious. But do I moan loudly when I eat? No, I don't! Because I actually have manners and know how to eat like how a normal human being should!

You're so right! I eat plastic everyday.

  • Sorry, but I don't think I am. Eating is not one of those pleasurable things. First of all, eating is not so pleasurable that you just HAVE to moan about it. Second of all, if someone decides that eating is that pleasurable, maybe they should learn how to control themselves! It really is not hard. Not all pleasurable things are worth moaning about. You don't need to moan every time you experience something pleasurable. You're not having an orgasm, so don't make weird noises. Just say the food is good and eat. Moaning when you eat is annoying and unnecessary, and maybe you should try accepting that? Second of all, LOL what are you even on about? When did I ever say moaning was about complaining? And I'm not complaining, just saying that moaning when you eat is, once again, not necessary.

However, I'm guessing you're one of those people that don't know how to eat like civilized human beings, which is why you seem to be taking offense. Okay.🤣

I'll say this again. Absolutely not! Next.

My dad grunts when he eats. The intimacy of his emotional connection to his food is obvious in those moments and it's uncomfortable to witness. Every other relationship in that house is dysfunctional.

It is what it is and I feel about it how I feel about it. I don't like sitting next to him when he eats. If possible, I prefer to be in a different room. I mean no disrespect to my family; these are just the facts.

why would someone moan while eating if they're enjoying it? "oooer, there's mayo on this burger and I HATE mayo!" How does that translate to = I'm enjoying it?

      Moaning =/= groaning.

This post mostly applies to the types of people that go "Mmmmm. Oh god, this cake is soooo good."
