Mom thinks my uncle is grooming me

To preface this I am 18 years old.
My mom has been convinced my uncle is an evil pedo groomer rapist since the day she met him. She only thinks this because he has no children or a wife. Her fears are completely unfounded, he's a regular guy with friends, hobbies and a functional social life. He did show me a few raunchy things when I was younger because he thought I'd find them funny. Of course by then I'd had full unrestricted access to the internet for years so I already knew of the eeeevils of the web.
Anyways, I was at his house a few days ago and he shows me a cartoon called Venture Bros and I thought it was pretty funny so I keep watching it. My mom finds out and pops a damned blood vessel because by her words he's 'grooming a young teenage girl with pornography' and 'I'm telling your father about this.' (He really doesn't care either way.)
Is this normal? I think she's completely overreacting.

    Child abuse charities say that showing children/young people sexual material is one of the biggest red flags to look out for when identifying an abuser. It is apparently a step they take towards priming a child for sexual activities.

    I'm not saying that your Uncle is doing this - it could be nothing. But it may explain why your mother is so worried. All the authorities that guide your mother as a parent will have pointed her in the direction of these charity's advice, and other parents that she knows will also be aware of this. It's sort of shoved down your throat once you become a parent.
