True, especially some of Ace Ventura, and the scenes in Liar Liar when he was squirming, yelling, and kicking when Carrey's older secretary was asking him what he'd lied about in the past, and the scene when he's insulting everyone in the boardroom, he yells everything he says in the most forced, exaggerated, irritating way. Then, when he fainted at the end of that scene, I felt like doing the same thing after watching that. Or punching my TV.
I can't vote... I've not seen any of these and can't think of anyone from a movie I've seen who is merely annoying.
True. He was most annoying in Billy Madison though. Especially the scene during a crucial part of the movie between Adam and that cute teacher he liked when explaining dialogue was badly needed, but instead he sees his imaginary penguin and start yelling nonsensically again like he does in much of that film.
For those who wasn't sure why I considered Alan Arkin so annoying in Little Miss Sunshine, it was his whole obnoxious attitude, especially the scene where he tells his 15 year old grandson in the van "fuck alot of women! Fuck lots of women! Not just a couple or few women, but fuck alot of women!", and he keeps repeating that like 5 more times, not to mention how grossly innapropriet it is to say that to his 15 year old grandson in a van in front of the whole family.
