My best male friend went a day without texting me..is this normal?

we have been best friends since more than 1 year. we text eachother regularly. its has become a routine for us both. And if any day he didnt able to contact me , he used to inform me a day before that he wont be available the next day for some reason. Or he atleast had informed me when he was already out for some reason.
But this time he didnt inform me anything. And he went a day without texting me once.We last talked day before yesterday. Till now he havent sent a single message as what he is upto. Is this normal?
I m not worrying much abt this but its just that i feel bad and little hurt when best friend does this to me..it makes me feel as if he doesnt care abt me much. because Earlier he used to inform me but not this time.. I really feel like a fool ! Dont u think he should have informed me atleast once , when he knows that we both talk on a regular basis? Please give ur opinions please..

    I would feel overwhelmed if someone expected me to text him or her everyday, and then have a valid excuse for why I haven't on certain days.

    There could be dozens of good reasons why he hasn't texted you: he's mislaid his phone; he's run out of credit; his phone is flat and he can't find the charger; he's ill; someone close to him is ill ............ need I go on?

    Why don't you wait until you know why he didn't text you before your get your nickers in such a huge & tangled knot? Maybe he just didn't have anything to say to you or maybe he's worked out that your an over-reactor

      yeah might be..but the thing is he usually texts me from his pc..he isnt that into mobiles and calls much. And i know if he is out he cant carry his laptop with him everytime which is totally fine. I was only wondering that atleast he could have informed me once that he is out or busy with something etc..
      Because he always informs me a day before when he thinks he wud not be able to contact me the next day!

    Your first instinct isn't to worry if he's okay? Instead you only care about how upset it makes you to miss your daily dose of attention?

    Seriously, get over yourself! You were lucky he text u each day because most people only communicate either weekly,fortnightly, monthly or every few months.
    Really, you should not even be complaining one bit.
