So my female dog is 5 or 6 years old and she has some pretty weird habits. When I don't feed her food that humans normally eat she gets upset and goes under my dresser and scratches the crap out of my carpet. Also whenever I sit down to straighten my hair she always wants to sit in my lap.She also does this when I'm on the toilet. She pushes the bathroom door open. She also likes to take dirty underwear and stuff it in her cage along with food wrappers. Is this normal for a dog?

    There's nothing wrong with feeding the bitch "people" food, which is actually better for dogs than processed dog food. As for the other problems, this is the result of a lack of training. Either train the bitch or get rid of her.

    You can change the way she behaves. Dogs live in the moment unlike people - they dont hold onto things. Try to correct her right before or when you can tell she is thinking about doing those things - when she opens the doors on your tell her "out" and stand in the doorway and make her give you space. If she doesnt want to move she thinks she owns you so you need to reverse that. THere is so much information on Dog Behavior out there - give it a look.

        you should try to stop her - from what I have read humping is a domination thing. Hopefully she doesnt try to hump people :) Basically you should disagree with any behavior that you dont want her to do. THe key is consistency usually - good luck
