My boyfriend's grandma loves video games

She is a 94 year old who has mild dementia, dislikes most people, and enjoys her solitude. We see no issue with how she is since we like video games too. But her neighbors in the senior apartment complex they all live in think she's weird. She just finished FF7 Crisis Core and wouldn't stop talking about how it was relatable. It was a fun convo. Is it normal she likes games?

    That's awesome, good for her. Video games have been shown to be good for the brain as well.

        Just in that you need to use your brain to play them. A lot of them require you to solve puzzles or outwit your opponents, or they require deep focus in order to beat, which exercises the brain.

    Not normal, but nothing wrong with it. My mom's like that, just younger. I wish I could get her into cool stuff like FF7, but she refuses to play anything that isn't made by Bungie.
