My boyfriend takes photos of me when i'm not looking

I don't think it's weird or anything because he's a photography major, but I though it would be worth asking anyways. Sometimes I'm really not expecting it though and it freaks me out. He knows I'm not keen on having photos taken but I have said it's fine. He's really nice and he's not being creepy. It just confuses me a little, I guess. Any advice? I can't really ask him to stop because I'd feel bad about it.

I'd say this is a bit endearing actually. Photographers tend to take pictures of what they find amazing. Sounds like he loves every little thing you do.

If you ask him to stop he should though.

    • That's honestly really nice. I asked him why recently and he pretty much just said the same thing: "I just like taking pictures of beautiful and fascinating things, and I think you're a beautiful and fascinating guy." So thank you for that little bit of reassurance.

This. Except, if he’s an aspiring artist, he should be able to create with no limits from a significant other.

A lot of spontaneous pictures turn out better than staged ones.

    • I agree, he takes a lot of slice of life photos and they're some of the most beautiful pictures I've ever seen.

No. An actual photographer doesn’t post everything. And would you tell a painter to throw something out that you didn’t like?

        • Hello. He's explicitly said he won't post on social media. However, I have said it's okay to share this photo because it doesn't make me look too wacky and he's proud of the editing. I'm comfortable with it now by the way, haha. (The quality kinda blows because ImgBB makes the images bigger. Just copy and paste the link.)

I tell my wife not to. Sometimes when shes taking a picture ill go to make the biggest retard face you've ever seen just to be stupid. Then a month later ill look at her facebook and see the picture has been there for a whole month.

            • Ah...I guess there's not a lot you can do about that.
